About the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA):
Established in 1976, the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) is a premier institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, for research and capacity building for the urban sector in India. NIUA’s broad objective is to bridge the gap between research and practice on issues related to urbanization. For more than 40 years now, NIUA has been the vanguard for contributing to and building the urban narrative for a fast evolving urban India. The Institute has been actively working on bringing forth key areas of concern for urban India in order to build the urban discourse at various urban scales. Prime Minister Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi), is a flagship scheme of MoHUA launched in June 2020 to facilitate special micro credit to the urban street vendors.
Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) (https://www.sidbi.in/enis) is the implementing agency of MoHUA for this scheme. SIDBI has set up a Project Management Unit
(PMU) to provide focused support for the implementation of PM SVANidhi Scheme. The objective is to manage, coordinate, and monitor the PM SVANidhi by providing programmatic support to the MoHUA/ SIDBI efficiently and effectively. The PMU would operate under the over supervision of MoHUA and SIDBI.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To work closely with above domain experts to execute, analyze and assist in delivering project work.
- Acting as a bridge between the States/UTs and MoHUA to rectify project related queries and execute regular performance reviews.
- Regular maintenance of MIS data.
- Assist in preparation of presentation/concept reports/notes for various deliverables of the project.
- Developing regular reports for various levels of stakeholders.
- Any other task assigned by MoHUA as per requirements of Scheme.
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate in Management in any discipline / B.Tech
Experience:
- Minimum 4 Years of experience with 2 years of experience on projects delivery in Central/State Government or PSU’s.
- Experience in market research/MIS data management/ report writing/ stakeholder management.
- Should have excellent communication skills.
